Cumin Cuminum cyminum This small shrubby annual thrives in
dry conditions. It counteracts
dampness and excessively wet conditions in the body. Its Sanskrit
name literally means ‘promoting
digestion’ and it is a superb
addition to any formula when there
is a compromised digestive system. Lead Plumbum (Pb) Naga (Lead) is the fifth metal. It is heavy, soft, and bluish-grey. Lead Bhasma is used in diabetes, obesity, urinary disorders, and worm infestations. It must be very carefully purified and processed as raw lead is highly toxic. The text warns about improper use causing severe diseases. Verses: 24-25.
