When a person has a particular dhatu that is fully mature and of superior quality, it is called dhatu sara. The concept of sara indicates the superior and obvious expression of that tissue's presence — the superior qualities associated with a particular dhatu will clearly manifest themselves. Because form follows function, this physical manifestation indicates that the tissue's function is quite strong in that area.
