Tissue Depletion
Decreased quantity of a dhatu caused by high dhatu agni leading to reduced production of that tissue.
Dhatu Kshaya: Tissue Decrease
When an aggravated dosha enters a dhatu and causes high agni (tikshna agni), there is decreased production of the dhatu, called dhatu kshaya. This represents the quantitative reduction of a tissue. As with dhatu vruddhi, qualitative changes (dhatu dushti) can accompany the quantitative decrease, creating compound tissue disorders.
