Tissue Excess
Increased quantity of a dhatu caused by slow dhatu agni leading to undue production of that tissue.
Dhatu Vruddhi: Tissue Increase
Quantitative changes refer to an increase or decrease in the dhatu. When any dosha — vata, pitta, or kapha — enters a dhatu, it affects both the nutrition of the dhatu and the dhatu agni. When it causes slow agni (mandagni), there is undue production of that dhatu, resulting in increased quantity called dhatu vruddhi. In both increased and decreased conditions, qualitative changes (dhatu dushti) can also be present, though dushti can occur independently without quantitative changes due to variable agni.
