Overview
Centipeda is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for allergic rhinitis. Nakchikni (Centipeda orbicularis) is a small prostrate herb found in wet areas worldwide. It is known for causing sneezing when the juice is inhaled, hence used as a nasal errhine (Shirovirechana). The plant is very small with tiny flower heads. It is used in headache, sinusitis, and nasal congestion. The plant juice is applied as nasal drops. Dose: Swarasa 1-2 drops nasally. Verse: mentioned in context of nasal herbs.
