Vatapittajwarahara Kashaya — Overview
Vatapittajwarahara Kashaya is an elaborate cooling formula prepared as either Phanta or Sita Kashaya and perfumed with flowers of Draksha and Jati. Its wide-ranging ingredients include Draksha, Madhooka, Madhuka, Lodhra, Kashmarya, Sariba, Mustha, Amalaka, Hribera, Padmakesara, Padmaka, Mrinala, Chandana, Usira, Nilotpala and Parushaka.
It is administered with honey, sugar and Laja Choorna. Indications are broad: combined vata-pitta fever, madatyaya (alcoholism), vomiting, fainting, burning, dizziness, fatigue, upward-moving bleeding disorders, thirst and jaundice.
