Tamrabhairava Gutika
A copper-based mercurial pill with Trikshara, Pancha Lavana, Tamra Bhasma, and mercury treated with donkey bile, used for Tantrika Sannipata.
Tamrabhairava Gutika — Overview
Tamrabhairava Gutika is a mineral-mercurial pill containing Trikshara (Sarja, Yava, and Tankana), Pancha Lavana (the five salts), Tamra Bhasma, and Parada in equal quantity.
The drugs are pounded with Arka-moola Kashaya for three days, placed in a Vajramoosha, and subjected to Valuka Yantra paka for one day. After auto-cooling, the material is steeped with Khara Pitta (donkey's bile) for 2 yama and rolled into pills of Masha size. It is administered with Yashtimadhu Kashaya and indicated for Tantrika Sannipata — a specific variant of complex tridoshic fever.
