Ramathadi Taila

A coconut-oil based preparation with Hingu and salt processed in cow's milk, used for toothache.

Ramathadi Taila — Overview

Ramathadi Taila uses one tola each of Ramatha (Hingu/asafoetida) and Lavana (salt) as Kalka, cooked in 32 tola of Nalikera Taila (coconut oil) with 128 tola of Goksheera (cow's milk) — four times the sneha.

It is indicated in Danta Soola (toothache), where the warming, pain-relieving action of Hingu combined with salt and the soothing effect of milk-processed coconut oil offers relief.
