Matulunga Rasayana
A pomegranate-based rejuvenative electuary with Vasa, ginger juice, sugar and numerous aromatics and bhasmas, used for cough, asthma, wasting and liver-spleen disorders.
Matala Rasayana (Dadima) — Overview
Matala Rasayana, also called Dadima Rasayana, is a premium rejuvenative lehya built on pomegranate juice, breast milk (stanya), Vasa juice and ginger juice in equal measure, combined with sugar, jaggery and Khanda Sarkara, and cooked into a lehya paka. An elaborate prakshepa includes Sarjarasa, Karkatakasringi, Chaturjataka, Renuka, Kushta, Yashti, Lavanga, Jatiphala, Japatri, Gajapippali, Sariba, Vasa, Saindhava, Nagakesara, Chandana, Kasturi, Gorochana and the bhasmas of Mukta, Pravala and Swarnamakshika.
After cooling, six pala of honey is added. It is indicated for cough, asthma, wasting, hiccup, hernia, weak digestion, vomiting, abdominal tumors, anorexia, heart disease, spleen and liver disorders, bleeding disorders, hoarseness and complications of fever.
