Maha Lakshadi Taila — Overview

Maha Lakshadi Taila is an elaborate version of Lakshadi Taila with an expansive Kalka of over thirty herbs including Prisniparni, Ativisha, Haridra, Daruharidra, Satavari, Jivaka, Rishabhaka, Rasna, Sarala, Devadaru, Mustha, Vidari, Manjishta, Aguru, Kushta, Yashtimadhu, Sariba, Amalaki, Murva, Apamarga, Sweta and Rakta Chandana, Ashwagandha and Bharangi.

It is processed with a Laksha, Usira and Bala decoction along with Dadhi masthu and used as Abhyanga, indicated for chronic fever, wasting, psychosis, asthma and epilepsy. It is also Balya (strengthening), Pushtikaraka (nourishing) and Garbhini hitakara (beneficial during pregnancy).
