Danti Haritakyavaleha — Overview

Danti Haritakyavaleha is a mild purgative electuary prepared from Danti, Chitraka and Haritaki (each 25 pala) decocted in one Drona of water down to one-eighth, then cooked with jaggery, oil, Trivrit, Pippali, Sunthi, Chaturjataka and honey.

It acts as a Sukha Virechaka (gentle purgative) and is indicated in Gulma (abdominal tumors), Hridroga (heart disease), Arshas (hemorrhoids), Sopha (edema), Anaha and Udara (abdominal distension), Kushta (skin diseases), Utklesa, Aruchi (anorexia), Pleeha (splenomegaly), Grahani, Vishamajwara, Pandu (anemia) and Kamala (jaundice).
