Chailyadi Gutika

A pill formulation with Hingula, Karigudha, Kanyasara, and opium pounded with ginger-Mustha decoction for severe complex fevers (Sarva Sannipata).

Chailyadi Gutika — Overview

Chailyadi Gutika contains Hingula/Chailyam (10 parts), Karigudha/Kandivenna (5 parts), Kanyasara/Chenninayaka (2½ parts), and Ahiphena/Kuruppum (3 parts).

The drugs are pounded with Sunthi and Mustha Kashaya for 3 yama (roughly 9 hours) and rolled into pills of one Maricha Phala (peppercorn) size. It is administered with Ardraka Swarasa and indicated for Sarva Sannipata — severe complex fevers of tridoshic origin.
