Amritaprasa Ghrita
A nourishing medicated ghee used for cough, hiccup, fever, asthma, burning sensation, thirst, bleeding disorders, vomiting, urinary diseases, heart disease and gynecological disorders.
Amritaprasa Ghrita — Overview
Amritaprasa Ghrita is a richly nourishing Rasayana ghrita. Its kalka includes the Jeevaniya gana, Sunthi, Atmagupta (Swagupta), Kakoli (Kshiraguna), Punarnava, Bala, Bharangi, Riddhi, Kachora (Sathi), Bhumyamalaki, Pippali, Kshira Vidari (Payasya), Laghu Panchamoola, Draksha and Akshoda. It is prepared with cow's ghee and cow's milk, the juices of Amalaki, Vidari and Ikshu, and Chaga Mamsa Rasa (goat meat soup, 4 prastha). After completion, Madhu, Sarkara, Maricha, Twak, Ela, Patra and Nagakesara are added.
During treatment, abundant use of milk and mutton juice is advised. It is indicated in Kasa (cough), Hicca (hiccup), Jwara (fever), Swasa (asthma), Daha (burning sensation), Trishna (thirst), Raktapitta (bleeding disorders), Vamana (vomiting), Mutra vikara (urinary disorders), Hridroga (heart disease), Yoniroga (gynecological disorders) and Murcha (fainting).
