Disorders of Pachaka Pitta

A disorder of pachaka pitta may create hyperacidity, hypoglycemia, and craving for sugar. It may also create gastritis, peptic ulcer, indigestion, anorexia, and dyspepsia. These conditions arise when the digestive fire in the stomach and small intestine becomes imbalanced—either excessive or deficient in its secretions and enzymatic activity.
