Anandamaya Kosha

The outermost kosha located about three and a half feet from the body, representing the sheath of bliss.

Definition

Anandamaya kosha is the sheath made of bliss, the innermost of the five koshas in yogic anatomy. It is the subtle layer closest to the Self (atman), experienced in deep meditation and dreamless sleep.
