Overview

Solomon's Seal is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for bleeding disorders. A nutritive tonic and rejuvenative herb used for debility, infertility, and chronic wasting diseases.

How Solomon's Seal Helps with Bleeding Disorders

According to Ayurvedic pharmacology, Solomon's Seal has specific properties that make it valuable for addressing bleeding disorders:

Safety & Precautions

Solomon's Seal is considered balancing for all three doshas, the three functional energies of Ayurveda: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Its gentle, sweet nature makes it one of the milder tonics.

The main caution is its heaviness. Taken in excess it may increase Kapha, the dosha of mass and moisture, or ama, the sticky undigested residue Ayurveda sees as the root of many disorders. For this reason it should be used with caution in severe congestion or when ama is high, for example with a coated tongue, sluggish digestion and heaviness.

Our classical and traditional sources give no specific guidance on drug interactions or overdose signs. If you take prescription medication, especially for diabetes or blood clotting, use it only under the supervision of a qualified practitioner.
