Safety & Precautions
Our sources list no specific contraindications, drug interactions or overdose signs for Purple Lippia. That is an absence of data, not proof of safety.
A few points follow from what we do know. The herb is heating (Ushna), light and dry. People who already run hot, or who have very dry constitutions, may want to be cautious and seek guidance first.
It also acts as a diuretic. If you take prescribed medicines that affect fluid balance or urination, talk to your doctor before adding it.
Persistent urinary symptoms such as pain, blood in the urine or fever need a medical diagnosis. Do not use this herb in place of one.
