Overview
Danti is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for hemorrhoids & piles. Danti (Baliospermum montanum) is a powerful purgative drug described alongside other Euphorbiaceae members. It is a shrub found in forests across India. The root is the main medicinal part and is one of the strongest Virechana (purgative) drugs in Ayurveda. It is used in conditions requiring strong downward purging including ascites, tumors, and severe constipation.
