Yavanyadi Choorna — Overview
Yavanyadi Choorna is a carminative and digestive powder built around Yavani, Tintrinika, Amlavetasa, Oushadhi, Dadima, and Kola (one karsha each), with four pala of sugar, half a karsha each of Dhanyaka, Souvarchala, Ajaji, and Varanga, and 100 seeds each of Pippali and Maricha.
It acts as Ruchya (appetizer), Hridya (cardiac tonic), and Grahi (absorbent), and is used for constipation, cough, chest pain, flank pain, hemorrhoids, and malabsorption. The same formula appears in Charaka Samhita and Harita Samhita with minor variations.
