Vyaghryadi Lehya
Kantakari-based electuary prepared from Chaturdhavasishta Kashaya, used for respiratory disorders.
Vyaghryadi Lehya — Overview
Vyaghryadi Lehya is prepared from 1 Tula of the whole plant of Kantakari (Vyaghri Panchanga) boiled in 1 Adhaka of water and reduced to one-fourth as a Chaturdhavasishta Kashaya. 40 pala of Khanda Sarkara (Matsyandika) is then added and cooked to Lehya consistency, followed by a prakshepa of Trikatu, Rasna, Guduchi, Chitraka, and Karkatakasringa.
As a Kantakari-predominant Lehya it is primarily indicated in respiratory disorders such as cough and asthma, and as a general kapha-vata pacifier for the chest.
