Vrisha Ghrita
A Vasa-based medicated ghee prepared from Vasa flowers, roots, leaves and shoots, used for asthma and cough.
Vrisha Ghrita (i) — Overview
Vrisha Ghrita (i) is a simple Vasa-based medicated ghee. The Kalka is Vasa Pushpa (Adhatoda flowers), the Sneha Dravya is plain Ghrita, and the Drava Dravya is a combination of Vasa moola, Vasa patra and Vasa pallava Swarasa (juice of roots, leaves and tender shoots of Vasa).
After cooking by the standard Ghrita Paka method, it is administered internally with honey as an anupana (vehicle). It is indicated in Swasa (asthma) and Kasa (cough), making it a focused respiratory formulation.
