Visarpa Kulakadi Kashaya — Overview

Visarpa Kulakadi Kashaya treats Visarpa (erysipelas) accompanied by Jwara (fever), Vami (vomiting), Daha (burning sensation), Bhrama, Trishna (thirst) and localized pain. The decoction contains Patola, Vasa, Kirata, Nimba, Katukarohini, Vibhitaki, Haritaki, Amalaka, Chandana and Guggulu.

This is a cooling, bitter, Pitta-pacifying formulation that addresses both the systemic fever and the spreading skin inflammation characteristic of erysipelas.
