Veppin Tolal Kashaya

A choice of decoctions from Nimba root, Chopchini, Khadira or Haritaki used internally or as steam therapy for infected wounds.

Veppin Tolal Kashaya — Overview

Veppin Tolal Kashaya is a flexible protocol for Dushta Vrana (chronic infected or non-healing wounds). The practitioner may choose any one of four decoctions: Nimba root Kashaya, Chopchini Kashaya, Khadira Kashaya or Haritaki Kashaya.

The selected decoction is administered internally. Alternatively, Chopchini Kashaya can be used as Bashpa Sweda (medicated steam therapy) directed at the wound site — a Kerala-style external application that opens the lesion, drains pus and promotes healing.
