Vataraktahara Kashaya

A simple decoction with Satavari and Guduchi used to treat Vatarakta (gout) and bleeding disorders.

Vataraktahara Kashaya — Overview

Vataraktahara Kashaya is presented in two formulas. The first is a simple decoction of Satavari and Guduchi used for Vatarakta (gout). The second formula adds Amalaki bark, Bala, Ikshu kanda and Ikshu rasa, and is administered with Yashtimadhu Choorna.

The second formulation is indicated in both Vatarakta and Raktapitta (bleeding disorders), making it useful where inflammation and bleeding tendencies coexist.
