Vatahara Kashaya
A decoction of Bala, Sahachara, Eranda and related herbs used for Vata disorders including neurological and joint conditions.
Vatahara Kashaya — Overview
Vatahara Kashaya (formulation 54) is a decoction for Vata disorders such as joint pain, neurological conditions and musculoskeletal stiffness. The first formula uses eight drugs: Bala, Sahachara, Eranda, Sunthi, Rasna, Devadaru, Nirgundi and Lasuna.
The second, very concise formula combines only Sunthi with Bala and Mahabala but is indicated for all types of Vataroga (Sarva Vataroga), making it a simple and versatile household remedy.
