Vata Jwarahara Kashaya

A decoction for vata-type fever, described in three formulas including Patha, Guduchi, Pippali Moola, Vasa and Sunthi.

Vata Jwarahara Kashaya — Overview

Vata Jwarahara Kashaya is presented as three sequential decoctions for vata-type fever. The first uses Patha, Agnimandha, Brihati, Kantakari and Sunthi; the second combines Guduchi, Pippali Moola and Kutaja; the third pairs Vasa, Guduchi, Mustha, Patola and Sunthi.

Some commentators group the first two into a single formula and treat the third as separate, yielding two preparations instead of three. All are indicated specifically for Vatajwara.
