Vastyamayantaka Ghrita

A comprehensive medicated ghee with Parushaka, Triphala and Gokshura group used for all types of urinary difficulty, urinary stones, gravel and diabetic disorders.

Vastyamayantaka Ghrita — Overview

Vastyamayantaka Ghrita is a major medicated ghee targeting urinary and bladder disorders (the name literally means 'that which ends bladder diseases'). The Kalka Dravya contains Parushaka, Utpala, Triti, Madhooka, Hima, Devadaru, Triphala, Pippali, Renuka, Sringavera, Saindhava, Hastipippali, Apamarga, Manjishta, Padmakesara, Mustha, Kusthumburu, Lodhra, Hayagandha, Punarnava, Swayamgupta, Ikshuru, Pardhapatraka, Sringi and Shilajatu (half pala each). Goghrita (1 prastha) is the Sneha base.

The Drava component is an elaborate Kashaya made from Daruharidra, Madhooka, Matsyakshi, Padma, Pashanabheda, Brihatyadi Chatushtaya, Sariba, Ikshu, Kaseruka, Ikshuraka, Sigru, Valaka, Varahi, Varuna, Draksha, Bhadra Mustha, Yashti and Palamkasha (3 pala each) plus an equal quantity of Gokshura, boiled with 1 Drona water reduced to one-fourth. This is combined with Goksheera, Satavari Swarasa, Dhatri Swarasa, Bimbi Swarasa, Narikelodaka, Kushmanda Swarasa and Urvaruka Swarasa (2 prastha each). It is indicated for all types of Mutrakricchra (urinary difficulty), Sarkara (gravel), Ashmari (urinary stones), Vata Pittaja Sarva Vastiroga (all bladder disorders) and Prameha (diabetic/urinary disorders).
