Vasa Yavasadi Kashaya — Overview
Vasa Yavasadi Kashaya is a classical decoction built around Vasa (Malabar nut), Yavasa, Kantakari, Chitraka, Vacha, Bhunimba, Sunthi, Jeeraka, Pippali, Yashti, and a group known as Shat Tandula (Indrayava, Bakuchi, Dhanyaka, Malkangini, Vidanga, Ela) along with Haritaki.
The decoction is administered internally with rock salt (Saindhavalavana) and is indicated in asthma (Swasa), fever (Jwara), chest injury (Urahkshata), and flank pain (Parswa Pida).
