Varahyadi Choorna — Overview

Varahyadi Choorna is a classical seven-herb powder used for all three types of severe jaundice (Kamala). Its ingredients include Varahi kanda, Ela (cardamom), Guduchi satwa, Pippali, Daruharidra bark, Vamsalochana and Sarkara, taken in equal parts.

A 4-gram dose is administered with honey, combining liver-supportive, bitter and cooling herbs to address the pitta imbalance underlying jaundice.
