Tungadrumadi Taila
A cooling medicated oil prepared with tender coconut water and milk, used for head and eye disorders.
Tungadrumadi Taila — Overview
Tungadrumadi Taila is a cooling medicated sesame oil prepared with a Kalka of Sugandha (Kachora), Lamaijja (a variety of Usira), Yashtimadhu, Utpala and Chandana. The distinctive feature of this formulation is its Drava Dravya — tender coconut water (Tungadruma taruna rasa) combined with milk — which gives the oil a markedly cooling quality.
It is indicated primarily for Siroroga (head disorders) and Netraroga (eye disorders), where heat and Pitta aggravation are prominent.
