Triphaladi Taila (for Siroroga) — Overview
Triphaladi Taila for head disorders uses a rich kalka of kushta, yashtimadhu, padmaka, usira, chandana, mustha, ela, patra, jatamamsi, aswagandha, bala, guduchi, sariba, devadaru, lavanga, tagara, kachora, utpala, rasanjana, and nili. Tila taila (1 prastha) is the base. The drava dravyas include a chaturdha-avasishta kashaya of triphala, guduchi, ketaki, asana, bala, eranda, and indravaruni (8 tola each) in 1 drona water, along with bhringaraja swarasa (1 prastha), amalaki swarasa (1 prastha), and cow's milk (2 prastha).
It is indicated in Siroroga (head disorders), Pratisyaya (chronic rhinitis), Khalitya (baldness), Palitya (premature graying), Kesabhanjana (hair fall/breakage), and Urdwajatrugata roga (disorders above the clavicle).
