Trikantaka Ghrita

A Gokshura-based medicated ghee with Pashanabheda and Shilajatu, used for urinary disorders, urinary stones, gravel and diabetic conditions.

Trikantaka Ghrita — Overview

Trikantaka Ghrita is a Gokshura-centred medicated ghee (Trikantaka = Gokshura). The Kalka Dravya includes Darbha, Draksha, Pippali, Ambu (Mustha), Soundi, Vasuka, Vasira (Apamarga), Kasa, Ikshu and Matsyaksha (1 pala each). Goghrita is the Sneha base.

The Drava Dravya is a Kashaya of Trikantaka (Gokshura), Ela, Shilajatu, Pashanabheda and Yashti Satavari, prepared by adding 8 times water and reducing to one-fourth, then combined with Goksheera. It is indicated for Mutra vikara (urinary disorders), Prameha (diabetes / urinary disorders), Mutrakricchra (urinary difficulty), Vataroga (neurological and joint disorders), Sarkara (urinary gravel) and Ashmari (urinary stones).
