A powder of Vasuka/Punarnava, Bhumyamalaki, Hamsapadi, Amalaki and Mandookaparni taken with buttermilk for jaundice.

Tartavaladi Mukkudi — Overview

Tartavaladi Mukkudi is a powdered preparation (Mukkudi) for Kamala (jaundice). It combines Vasuka or Punarnava (Tarataval), Bhumyamalaki, Hamsapadi (Tripadi), Amalaki and Mandookaparni.

The herbs are pounded together and administered internally with buttermilk early in the morning. During the treatment, the patient is restricted to an exclusive milk diet to support liver recovery.
