Tambula Bhasma
A bhasma of betel leaves treated with Arka milk, combined with rock salt and Ajamoda, given with jaggery for all types of pain.
Tambula Bhasma — Overview
Tambula Bhasma is prepared from betel leaves (Nagavalli/Tambulavalli patra) coated with Arka Ksheera (latex of Calotropis), dried thoroughly, and subjected to Antardhooma calcination in Sarava samputa.
After bhasmification, double the quantity of Saindhava Lavana and Ajamoda Choorna is added to the ash. It is administered internally with jaggery (Guda) as the vehicle, and is indicated for Sarva Soola — all varieties of bodily pain.
