Swayam Bhasma — Overview
Swayam Bhasma is a simple three-ingredient metallic preparation containing 1 part Parada (purified mercury), 2 parts Gandhaka (sulphur) and 3 parts Loha (iron). The drugs are taken in the specified quantity, pounded with Kumari Swarasa (Aloe vera juice), dried, powdered finely, and administered internally with Guda (jaggery).
Its single classical indication is Soola — pain, particularly chronic abdominal and colicky pain.
