Soolahara Kashaya — Overview
Soolahara Kashaya is a decoction for severe colicky pain in various regions of the body. The first formula uses Eranda, Sahachara, Bala, Guduchi, Satavari and Sunthi, administered with rock salt, sugar and honey. It relieves cardiac pain (Hricchoola), flank pain (Parswasoola), bladder pain (Vasti soola), sacral pain (Trika soola) and back pain (Prishta soola).
The second formula combines Eranda, Sahachara, Kantakari, Devadaru, Sunthi and Lasuna, administered with milk, and is indicated for Hricchoola, Kukshi soola (abdominal pain), Nabhi soola (umbilical pain), Vrishana soola (testicular pain) and Uru ruja (thigh pain).
