A pungent carminative powder with Trikatu, Hingu, Saindhava, Jeeraka and Gajapippali used for all types of abdominal pain (Sarva Soola).
Soolahara Choorna — Overview
Soolahara Choorna is a targeted analgesic–carminative powder for abdominal pain. Its contents include Souvarchalavana, Yavakshara, Trikatu, Dipyaka, Gandhaka, Surana kanda (Gajapadi moola), Jatipatra visesha, Parada, two types of Jeeraka, Saindhava, Lasuna, Gajapippali, Chavya and Hingu, all in equal parts. The mixture is pounded with Puduyava Swarasa for three days, then taken with sugar or jaggery water, followed by a diet of rice with ghee.
The sole classical indication is Sarva Soola — pain of every variety, particularly Vata-type colic and cramping.
