Shuladi Ghrita

A Maharshi Atreya formulation of medicated ghee with a large polyherbal kalka used primarily for colic pain.

Sooladi Ghrita — Overview

Sooladi Ghrita is attributed to Maharshi Atreya and features an elaborate kalka including Pancha Lavana, Trikatu, Triphala, Krishna Jeeraka, Katurohini, Matulunga, Dwi kshara, Hingu, Ela, Chavya, Ajamoda, Draksha, Devadaru and several other potent drugs.

The sneha is one prastha of cow's ghee; the liquid vehicle is Gajapippali swarasa and Dwi Panchamoola decoction. It is specifically indicated for colic pain (Soola).
