Sitamatangasimha Rasa
A mercurial (Parada-based) Rasa preparation with Vatsanabhi, Tuttha, Tankana, Manahshila and Haritala specifically indicated for cold fever (Seeta Jwara).
Sitamatangasimha Rasa — Overview
Sitamatangasimha Rasa is a mercurial preparation containing Parada, Vatsanabhi, Maila Tuttha (Sikhi Tuttha), Tankana, Manahshila and Haritala in equal parts. The drugs are pounded with Dhattura leaf juice (Kanaka dala Swarasa) for one yama (three hours) and rolled into pills the size of a Gunja seed.
It is administered internally with sugar (Sita) and is specifically indicated for Seeta Jwara — cold-type fevers with chills. As a potent Rasaushadhi containing Parada and Vatsanabhi, it should be used only by trained classical practitioners in prescribed doses.
