Sirastoda Gutika — Overview
Sirastoda Gutika is a pill formulation for external application used in all types of headache. It contains Kundurushka (Boswellia serrata oleogum resin, 8 parts), Kanyasara (6 parts), Kathini (3 parts), Karigudha (3 parts), and Hingu (1 part), pounded with Kumari (aloe) juice.
The pill is rubbed with different liquids depending on the dosha: Tila Taila for Vataja headache, Ghee for Pittaja headache, and coconut milk for Kaphaja headache, then applied over the forehead. It is indicated in all diseases of the head (Sarva Siroroga).
