Satavaryadi Kashaya — Overview

Satavaryadi Kashaya is a comprehensive Chaturdhavasishta Kashaya prepared with Satavari, Haritaki, Mustha, Katukarohini, Devadaru, Rasna, Eranda, Bala, Saireya, Satapushpa, Punarnava, Bhunimba, Dasamoola and Vasa.

The decoction is divided into two halves: one taken early in the morning with castor oil and rock salt, and the second in the evening after meals with Jeeraka and sugar. It is indicated for all eighty varieties of Vata disorders (Sarva Vataroga).
