Pulim Kulambu (I) — Overview

Pulim Kulambu (I) is a tamarind-based electuary of South Indian origin, prepared with Sunthi, Pippali, Maricha, Kalajira, Siddhardhaka, Chitraka, Dipya, Jeeraka and Gaja Pippali, combined with Kandabija patra juice, Saindhava, tamarind juice, Rasona kalka and Takra (buttermilk).

Administered in a dose of 1 tola, it is indicated in Ashtavidha Gulma (the eight types of abdominal tumors), Sarva Soola (all types of pain) and Antra Roga (intestinal disorders).
