Pittajwarahara Kashaya — Overview
Pittajwarahara Kashaya is a cooling decoction for pitta-type fever accompanied by burning sensation (daha) and excessive thirst (trishna). Its ingredients include Sariba, Kamala (lotus), Chandana, Usira, Sunthi, Yashtimadhu, Hribera, Utpala, Madhooka and Satavari.
The decoction is allowed to cool naturally and then administered internally with honey and sugar.
