Patoladi Ghrita

A bitter medicated ghee with Patola, Nimba, Katuka and Triphala, indicated for nasal, ear and eye diseases, abscesses, fever, non-healing wounds, and skin disorders.

Patoladi Ghrita — Overview

Patoladi Ghrita is a bitter, Pitta-pacifying medicated ghee. The Kalka consists of Mustha, Bhunimba, Yashtyahwa, Kutaja, Udichya, Chandana and Pippali. The Drava Dravya is a decoction prepared from Patola, Nimba, Katuka, Darvi, Usira, Triphala, Vrisha, Dhanvayasa, Trayanthi and Parpata, reinforced with Amalaki and Bilwa boiled in 1 drona of water.

Its indications include Ghrana roga (nasal disorders), Karna roga (ear disorders), Akshi roga (eye disorders), Vidradhi (abscesses), Jwara (fever), Dushta Vrana (non-healing wounds), Kushta (skin diseases), Apachi, Suklatimira, Naktandhya (night blindness), and burning sensation (Ushna, Daha nasaka).
