Patha Karanjadi Ghrita (i) — Overview
Patha Karanjadi Ghrita (i) is a medicated ghee formulated for all types of diarrhea. The Kalka contains Kutaja twak, Yashti, Bharangi, Syonaka, Indrayava, Hingu, Prativisha, Trikatu, Bala, Bilwa, Suradruma, Ela, Lavanga, Mridwika, Dipya, Sindhuttha, Jeeraka, Kola, Chandana and Dhanyaka. Goghrita is the Sneha Dravya.
The Drava Dravya is a Kashaya of Patha, Karanja yugma, Chitraka, Sarapunkha, Sunthi, Mustha, Chincha moola, Chincha pallava, Kutaja valkala, Pippali moola and Yavasa, along with Ardraka Swarasa, Changeri Swarasa, Takra and Ksheera. It is indicated for Sarva Atisara — all varieties of diarrhea including Vataja, Pittaja, Kaphaja and Sannipatika types.
