Parpatadi Ghrita

A medicated ghee combining Goghrita and castor oil with Parpana, garlic, and other herbs, used internally and externally for Vriddhi (hernia/scrotal swelling).

Parpanadi Ghrita — Overview

Parpanadi Ghrita combines cow's ghee and Eranda taila (castor oil) in equal parts, with Pippali and two types of Jeeraka as the Kalka Dravya. The liquid base is a decoction of Parpana, Lasuna (garlic), Gorakhmundi, Kakadani and Kuberaksha.

This Ghrita is indicated in Vriddhi — hernia and scrotal swelling — and is notable for being used both internally and externally, making it a dual-route preparation for localized swelling disorders.
