Panchavalkadi Taila

A medicated oil using the Panchavalkala (five barks) along with Haridra and Sariba, indicated for skin diseases and Rakta-predominant erysipelas.

Panchavalkadi Taila — Overview

Panchavalkadi Taila features a Kalka of Rambha, Kamala and Utpala roots, Madhuka, Dalchini, Usira, Haritaki and Chandana, cooked with a decoction of the Panchavalkala — the five barks of Vata (banyan), Ashwattha (peepal), Udumbara, Plaksha and Parisha — along with Haridra and Sariba.

It is indicated for Kushta (skin diseases) and Kledayukta Raktapitta-predominant Visarpa (oozing erysipelas).
