Panchamooladi Kashaya

A decoction of Brihat and Laghu Panchamoola with Rasna, Amalaki, Usira, Yavasa, Guduchi, Dhanyaka and Mustha for Vataja measles.

Panchamooladi Kashaya — Overview

Panchamooladi Kashaya targets Vataja Masurika — measles with predominant Vata symptoms. It combines both Panchamoolas (Brihat and Laghu) with Rasna, Amalaki (Dhatri), Usira, Duralabha, Guduchi, Dhanyaka and Mustha.

The two Panchamoolas are classical Vata-pacifying groups, and the full formulation balances the airy, painful, dry presentation of Vataja eruptive fever.
