Panchagavya Ghrita

A medicated ghee prepared with the five cow products, used to improve complexion, nourishment, vitality and longevity, and to treat disorders caused by evil influences.

Panchagavya Ghrita — Overview

Panchagavya Ghrita is a medicated ghee built on the five cow products (Panchagavya: gomaya, gomutra, goksheera, godadhi, goghrita). Its kalka includes Mustha, Ela, Chitraka (Agni), Vidanga, Yashtimadhu, Haridra, Manjishta, Patha, Vacha, Pippali (Soundi), Katukarohini, Triphala, Vasa, Draksha and Daruharidra (one tola each).

Its actions are listed as Kantiprada (improves complexion), Pushti Vardhaka (nourishing), Pitra-Ayushkara (promoting longevity), and a remover of Graha and Bhuta Roga — disorders attributed to seizing/possessing influences.
