Nyaramooladi Choorna

A choorna made from Jambu moola twak processed with Jambeera swarasa, used for anemia.

Nyaramooladi Choorna — Overview

Nyaramooladi Choorna is a simple but potent preparation for anemia (Pandu). The bark of Jambu root (Jambu moola twak) is pounded with fresh lemon juice (Jambeera swarasa) and applied to a hot iron plate until it turns black — a traditional method of incorporating iron into the herbal base.

The resulting fine powder is taken internally with buttermilk (Mori) or jaggery (Guda), making it both palatable and supportive of digestion in anemic patients.
